Guest user module

This is a general  implementation:

Due to the number of requests received to create Guest users in the system, and taking into account that we are now investing time to improve the system, we would like to inform that we have developed a new module where CRP/PTF Administrators are able to create Guest Users directly without the need to request it to the MARLO Support team.

A guest user is someone who will be able to access the system, view everything that is entered but with no access to modify anything.


If you are an Adminstrator, please go to the "Admin" section located in the top-right of the page: 





Once there, go to the "List of users" section located in the left menu: 



Then, you will now see the new module developed.





To assign a new Guest User, you will need to add the email and:

  • If the person is already a MARLO user, the system will let you know the person already has access (see screenshot below);




  • If the person is new and has a CGIAR email account, the Name and Last name fields are not being asked because will bring the information directly from the Outlook active directory.



  • Once you complete the process and hit the save button you will see a green pop-up with the message that "was assigned successfully":  



Immediately, the person will receive 2 emails: 

  • A welcome email with a short user manual that describes MARLO’s main functionalities and the credentials to access. This email will be sent only if the person did not exist previously in MARLO.


  • A second e-mail describing the role assigned.
